ISIS member who carried out terrorist operations in Iraq admits of receiving training in Turkey

The Central Court of the Investigation of Al-Resafa Federal Appeal Presidency in Baghdad confirmed on Wednesday the statements of two defendants who carried out terrorist attacks in Baghdad and Anbar provinces after receiving training in Turkey.

"The first defendant confessed to belonging to ISIS terrorist gangs, and detonating several improvised explosive devices against the Iraqi army forces," the Iraqi judiciary said in a statement.

 "The terrorist received administrative and military training courses in Turkey before starting his work in Iraq," he said.

"The second terrorist confessed before the investigation judge his belonging to ISIS and setting up fake checkpoints in Haditha city in Anbar province, targeting civilians and security forces," the statement said.

"The confirmation of the statements of the defendants and their arrest comes in accordance with the provisions of Article 4 of the Anti-Terrorism Law No. 13 of 2005," it said.
