Iraqi Federal Government hold talks with Şengalis

A meeting is being requested by the Iraqi Forces with the people in Şengal to reach an agreement to end protests that call for their retreat and not take over the Asayîşa Êzîdxanê center.

Gathering by the people in Şengal in front of the Asayîşa Êzîdxanê, goes on in response to the call by the Autonomous and Democratic Administration of Şengal to the Yazidi community to head to center of the Asayîşa Êzîdxanê in a bid to deter Iraqi Forces to be deployed to Şengal and taking over the center of the Asayîşa Êzîdxanê.

In result to the rapid developments in the region, the Autonomous and Democratic Administration of Şengal, held yesterday, an  urgent meeting in which many issues were discussed, of which attempts by the Iraqi Forces to deploy to Şengal and taking over the center of the Asayîşa Êzîdxanê.

In this relation, a call was issued by the Autonomous and Democratic Administration of Şengal to all people and bodies in Şengal to head to the center of the Asayîşa Êzîdxanê.

All people and components in Şengal responded to the call sent, and converged on the center which was cordoned off by human shields to deter Iraqi Federal Forces from taking over.

Since the early hours of today, the activity against the Iraqi Forces that aim to take over the Asayîşa Êzîdxanê was on.  

According to information, Iraqi officials never reacted to the demand of the Yazidi community, in the meeting that was held with the Şengali delegation, today morning, to which protests went on, and on that another meeting was called for by the Iraqi officials, with no information available on that so far.
