International, Arab welcome to grant confidence to Al-Kazemi's government

European and other Arab countries have welcomed confidence in Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, and stressed his government's support.

The United States of America announced today, Thursday, its support for the new Iraqi Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi.

The US embassy said in a press statement, "We congratulate the Iraqi people on giving confidence to Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi and his government in the session of the Iraqi parliament."

While the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Jeanine Antoinette Hennis-Plasschaer welcomed, Thursday, the granting of the Iraqi parliament to the government of Mustafa Al-Kazemi.

Plasschaer urged to complete the formation of the cabinet, to enable the new government to move quickly to address the growing security, social, political, economic and health challenges.

It renewed United Nations support to the Iraqi government in addressing these challenges.

The British Ambassador to Iraq, Steve Hickey, said today, Wednesday, "Congratulations to Mr. Mustafa Al-Kazemi for assuming the position of Prime Minister."

 The British ambassador revealed his country's aspiration to work with the new Iraqi government headed by Mustafa Al-Kazemi and said, "The UK stands ready to support your government to eradicate the Coronavirus, and work on economic and security reform, as well as in combating ISIS."

For his part, PhD. Meshaal bin Fahim Al-Salami, President of the Arab Parliament, welcomed, Thursday, the formation of the new Iraqi government headed by Mustafa Al-Kazemi under the precise circumstances that Iraq is going through.

This granted the Iraqi parliament, after midnight on Wednesday, confidence in the government of Prime Minister-designate Mustafa Al-Kazemi, after a political crisis that struck the country for a period of 10 months.
