High death toll of Corona in Britain

Britain recorded a sharp jump in deaths from the new coronavirus, with 693 new cases detected against 288 in Monday's statistics, surpassing Italy in this general indicator.

Speaking at a press conference today to highlight the development of the coronavirus pandemic in the country, British Secretary of State, Dominic Raab said the death toll from the disease in the past 24 hours had risen to 693 to 29,427.

The new toll represents a huge jump in mortality rate on a daily basis compared to the previous statistic.

The second phase of the general shut down measures will be different, Raab said, adding that the government is seeking to ensure that jobs are protected.

Britain therefore surpassed Italy in terms of the number of deaths recorded of COVID-19, and became the second country on this list, while the UK ranks fourth in terms of infection.
