Freedom, Change Forces accept Ethiopian mediation

The forces of Freedom and Change and the Gathering of Sudanese Professionals announced the acceptance of the mediation of Ethiopian Prime Minister Abi Ahmed in the negotiations between the driving forces of the protests in Sudan and the Transitional Military Council, but on conditions.

The conditions of the opposition forces to accept the mediation of the Ethiopian Prime Minister to form an international commission of inquiry into the events of the sit-in resolution of the General Command of the armed forces, which took place last week and killed about 100 of the protesters, as quoted by "CNN".

The forces of the Declaration of Freedom and Change and the Gathering of Sudanese Professionals demand the unconditional release of all Sudanese held by the Sudanese authorities last week, as well as the return of Internet services that the forces of the Declaration of Freedom and Change say  that the Sudanese military junta stopped it.

Abdul Fattah al-Burhan, head of the Transitional Military Council, expressed the Council's readiness to return to negotiations once it had announced the holding of general elections within 9 months.

Ethiopian Prime Minister Abi Ahmed arrived in the Sudanese capital Khartoum on Friday and held talks with leaders of the Transitional Military Council and leaders of the Freedom and Change Declaration on a one-day official visit.
