Four deaths, 16 new cases of Covid-19 in NE Syria

The Health Authority of the Autonomous Administration of Northern and Eastern Syria announced on Friday that it has recorded four deaths of people infected with Covid-19 in northern and eastern Syria.

Dr. Joan Mustafa, the co-chair of the Health Authority in the Autonomous Administration of Northern and Eastern Syria, explained that the deaths are of two men from Hasaka, a woman from Derik, and the other from Kobani.

Mustafa added that they recorded 16 new cases of Covid-19, and they are distributed as follows:

7 cases in Al-Hasakah

4 cases in Qamishlo

4 cases in Derik

One case in al-Shahba

Meanwhile, Mustafa stated that 11 new recoveries were recorded.

Of note, with the announcement of these new cases, the number of cases reached 1,359, of which 59 were deaths and 390 recovered.
