The former minister tweeted through his account on "Twitter", saying: "The developments in the security situation in northern Lebanon are very dangerous, so let us stand by the army and security forces to protect the north and Lebanon."
He added, "It is clear that the one who moves these terrorist groups is one from Libya to Syria to Lebanon. They searched for Turkey and its sabotage project throughout the region."
Security sources said that the Lebanese security forces killed at least two "extremists" in a heavy exchange of fire, on Saturday, with an armed group in the northeast, near the border with Syria.
wounded in the clash, which began after the forces raided a house in Wadi Khaled area where the group suspected of planning attacks was hiding.
