Explosion in central Kirkuk kills one woman, injures 3

An explosion occurred in Khadra'a neighborhood of the city of Kirkuk in Başûr Kurdistan on Thursday evening resulted in the loss of a woman's life and wounding three others.

Local media reported earlier that the explosion was caused by an explosive device targeted a bus to transport passengers in the center of the city, and resulted in the loss of a woman's life and wounding three others.

Kirkuk last month witnessed a series of bombings targeting different areas, killing at least three people and wounding 16 others.

No one has claimed responsibility for the attacks, but Daesh mercenaries' cells are still active in the region after the Iraqi state declared Daesh's military defeat in December 2017.
