Exchange of prisoners, detainees between Moscow, Kiev completed

Russia's human rights chief, Tatyana Moskulkova, said Saturday that the exchange of detainees between Russia and Ukraine had completed.

The "Novosti" news agency quoted Moskulkova saying: "35 people on the one hand and 35 people on the other crossed the borders of their countries," she also expressed the hope that criminal cases against citizens of Russia and Ukraine would be closed in this step.

She described what happened today as "a new page in our relations in the humanitarian and human rights fields."

A number of countries welcomed the prisoner exchange, as US President Donald Trump called it a "great step toward peace."
