The head of the Executive Body of the Syrian Democratic Council Ilham Ahmed met with Senator Kevin Kramer of the Republican Party, and of the Democratic Party in the US Congress with Senator Tim Keane.
According to the official website of the Syrian Democratic Council, the head of the Executive Body discussed during the meeting with members of Congress, the Turkish aggression on northern and eastern Syria and undermine the security and stability in the areas that host more than five million Syrians.
Ilham Ahmed briefed the senators on the tragic situation due to Turkish occupation aggression and the contribution of the Turkish invasion to the escape of a number of ISIS mercenaries detained in northern and eastern Syria.
She also called on the US senators to put pressure for an end to the Turkish occupation of northern and eastern Syria and prevent it from ethnic cleansing operations against the components of the region.
Ilham Ahmed also called on party members in the US Senate to protect northern and eastern Syria and to support Autonomous Administration, an advanced democratic experience in the north of the country.
