A spokesman for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Ofir Gendelman, announced today the departure of the first Israeli commercial flight to the UAE.
On his Twitter page, Gendelman posted a video of the plane preparing to take off, commenting: "The first Israeli commercial flight to the UAE took off shortly before Ben Gurion International Airport on its way to Dubai."
He added, "The first UAE commercial flight to Israel landed here last Thursday. The direct flights bring us closer to each other."
The airline "Fly Dubai" for low-cost flights, launched last Thursday, its first direct flights to Tel Aviv, two months after the normalization of full relations between the two countries.
On the 15th of September this year, the UAE and Bahrain signed an agreement to normalize "full relations" with Israel, under the auspices of US President Donald Trump, in Washington.
