The new coronavirus continues to spread around the world, and global health pledges to continue fighting the epidemic after intense pressure from the White House.

According to WHO data, the number of people infected with coronavirus around the world has reached 4,989,095, 1,959,260 have been cured, while 324,966 deaths have been recorded.

However, this bad news is almost opposite by good news as the number of people recovering from the pandemic rises and declines in the number of deaths.

The Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Gebresus, pledged yesterday to continue to lead the global campaign to combat the emerging coronavirus pandemic, after US President Donald Trump threatened to stop funding the organization and withdraw from its membership.

"We want accountability more than anyone else," Tedros said at a virtual meeting of 194 member states. "We will continue to provide strategic leadership to coordinate the global response."

The United States continues to top the list, with the number of deaths increasing by 1,539 cases, bringing the total to 91,945 deaths, while the number of infections in the country has reached more than 1.5 million.

Russia followed, with 299,941 infections, of whom 2,837 died.

Then Brazil, which recorded 1,179 new deaths, bringing the total to 17,971, while the number of infections rose to 271,628.

As for China, it recorded 5 new infections without any deaths, bringing the total to 82,965 cases, while deaths remained at 4,634 deaths.

Mexico recorded 2,713 new infections, bringing the total number of cases to 54,346, and 334 new deaths, bringing the total number of deaths from the virus to 5,666.

Germany The number of infections rose by 797 cases, bringing the total to 17,6007, while the number of deaths increased by 83 cases to 8,090 deaths.

Corona continues to spread quickly, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia leads the list of the highest number of cases of pandemic, with the number of infected 59,854, of whom 329 died.

Followed by Qatar, which recorded 35,606, of whom only fifteen died.

The Quandles Laboratory in the UAE has announced the development of a new tool to conduct high-speed mass screening to detect the new corona virus in an unprecedented way.

The Egyptian Ministry of Health announced that the number of deaths in corona rose to 645, and infection to 12,764.

Jordan recorded 16 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total to 629 cases.

In Iraq, the Iraqi Ministry of Health recorded 150 new cases of coronavirus and 4 deaths.

The Omani Ministry of Health announced the death of two residents with "Covid 19", one of whom is 54 years old and the other 67 years old, bringing the total number of deaths in the Sultanate to 25.
