 Autonomous Administration responds to Asaad

The Autonomous Administration of the North and East of Syria described the Syrian president's statements on the subject of the historical Kurdish issue in Syria as "part of the harmony with the policies of Turkey that violated Syrian sovereignty". It stressed that the logic of the regime has not brought with it any solutions over the years, and the insistence on this approach does not serves the chances of a solution.

It is totally disregard for what is happening in the occupied areas where terrorist groups and the Turkish State are present. This came in a statement issued in response to the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's statements on the Kurdish issue and the Kurdish people in Syria, saying in the statement:

"With the  Syrian crisis entering its tenth year, the absence of opportunities for a solution and Syria turns into a regional and international conflict arena; the regime in particular evades its responsibilities. As it is responsible for most of what is going on. It is the result of its intransigence and determination to deal with things from its narrow point of view and its insistence on looking at Syria as if it did not witness any change. The president of the Syrian regime comes out and speaks with logic that is one of the most important causes of the crisis, namely, the logic of transcendence over reality and truth.

His approach and addressing of the historical Kurdish issue in Syria is part of the harmony with Turkey's policies and flirting with it in light of the practices, violations of the Syrian sovereignty, which the regime has always said will not allow anyone to violate it. This approach undermines efforts to resolve and shows the regime is not serious about dialogue and openness to the democratic solutions in Syria. The Kurdish issue is an important part of the general Syrian solution and its resolution within the Syrian solution and the Syrian framework is making real progress in the course of change in Syria.

With regard to the charges of separatism; the regime must review the recent past and remember that the areas of northeastern Syria are the most defensive for Syria, its diversity and unity. The resistance that emerged in Afrin for 58 days against the Turkish aggression as well as in Ras al-Ain/Seri Kania, Tal Abyad/ Gire Spi and years of resistance against ISIS was only to prevent Syria from becoming a Turkish state or a center of the defunct caliphate. At the same time that the Syrian regime was silent as if what was happening in all these areas was outside the Syrian framework.

We do not need to show signs of resistance and struggle of the components of northeastern Syria, but we wonder about the achievements of the Syrian regime from the beginning of the crisis until today?!

We affirm in the Autonomous Administration of the North and East of Syria that the logic of the regime has not brought with it any solutions over the years. Insisting on this approach does not serve the chances of a solution. It is also totally disregarding what is happening in areas where terrorist groups and the Turkish state are present. Considering the Kurdish issue as an important part of the Syrian national solution and the project of the Autonomous Administration is a Syrian national project that does not affect the values of Syria as a homeland or its unity, contrary to the regime's mentality and policies and its disregard for the Turkish threat in particular. The aim is to preserve pluralism and diversity in northern and eastern Syria and to target these areas in any way is an attempt to undermine these Syrian national gains and is only in the interest of those who want chaos in Syria and the rivalry between its components and the division of its unity.
