Armenian government announces injury of 81 Syrian mercenaries

Armenia revealed that 81 Syrian mercenaries who were sent by Turkey to Azerbaijan to fight against the Armenians were injured.

The Armenian government said, through its official Twitter account, that at least 81 people were injured out of nearly 4,000 Syrian mercenaries who were sent to Azerbaijan to support the clash with the country.

The government stated that "intelligence information indicated the presence of about four thousand Syrian militia fighters, who were involved in the clash launched by Azerbaijan, in which 81 people were injured."

Reuters indicated that 16 civilians and soldiers were killed in the worst confrontations between Armenia and Azerbaijan since 2016.
