The Democratic Union Party (PYD) organized an expanded meeting in Helwa town in Tirbê Spiyê region, in which dozens of the town’s people participated to discuss the latest political developments in the region.
Dozens of members of the town, its affiliated villages and the representatives of the Democratic Union Party, Star conference participated in the meeting.
The meeting was moderated by PYD Executive Body’s member Suleiman Arab, the Co-chair of Tirbê Spiyê District Council Abdel Rahim Hesso, and the Co-chair of Helwa town Fahima Temmo.
During the meeting, PYD Executive Body’s member Suleiman Arab talked about the tragic conditions the world is going through as a result of the spread of the Corona pandemic and thousands’ loss of their lives, excluding the regions of northern and eastern Syria from this pandemic, and said: “Despite the small possibilities that we possess, we have managed to protect the region from the spread of the Corona epidemic, and this certainly falls on the list of the Autonomous Administration’s success and the project of fraternity of peoples in proving themselves.”
Suleiman Arab referred to the security chaos, the violations committed against the civilians by the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation in the occupied Afrin, Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî, the demographic change in those areas, bringing in the mercenaries’ families and settling them in the homes of the indigenous people.
Arab pointed to the mercenaries’ practices in the occupied territories and the violations against women in those areas, and stressed: “We will liberate Afrin from the abomination of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries.”
Arab touched on the endeavors to unify the Kurdish house in Rojava, and pointed to the success of the first stage. He stressed not to look at the Kurdish national unity from a narrow perspective, or that it is a unity between two parties, as he said: “The Kurdish national unity has a Syrian, Kurdish and also international depth.”
Arab made it clear that the enemies of the Kurdish people aim to divide the Kurdish people, and the Kurdish people must be well aware of this. He said: “Therefore, the Kurdish people must unite their ranks, and the time is right now because the Kurdish people have political and military troops on the ground.”
In turn, the Co-chair of Tirbê Spiyê District Council Abdel Rahim Hesso appealed to all the people to take precaution and caution, assist the Community Protection Forces (HPC) in protecting the agricultural lands, and to be fully prepared to prevent the outbreak of fires in the agricultural crops.
This meeting comes within a series of meetings organized by the Democratic Union Party in the cities and districts of Qamishlo canton with the aim of discussing the latest developments in the region.
