Arab League receives SDC representative to discuss latest developments in Syria, region

The Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab League, Hossam Zaki, received this morning at the headquarters of the university, the representative of the Syrian Democratic Council in Egypt Sihanouk Dibo, and a discussion on the latest developments in Syria and the region in general.

The representative of the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC), Assistant Secretary-General, shared the council's vision for the Syrian solution, the project of the Autonomous Administration, and the role of the Syrian Democratic Forces in countering terrorism and promoting civil peace.

Dibo also talked about the necessity of the role of the Arab League in light of the threats to the region and the Arab countries, especially Turkish threats and its occupation of areas in northern Syria.

For his part, the Assistant Secretary-General stressed the need to communicate and show the reality of the Syrian Democratic Council’s vision and refute the allegations and positions raised about its role, as well as with regard to the Kurdish demands and prevent a gap in this.

Zaki also affirmed the support of the Arab League to the Syrian national opposition, which believes in solving the Syrian crisis, in accordance with its political track and the relevant international legitimacy resolutions.
