An explosion in Idlib while operating Russian-Turkish patrol

An explosion was heard in Jericho area of Idlib southern countryside during the conduct of a Turkish-Russian patrol in conjunction with demonstrations held to reject the Russian-Turkish agreement to patrol that area.

A new joint patrol between Russia and Turkey took place this morning, which was run on the Lattakia-Aleppo international highway, as it set out from the village of Tarnaba in Saraqib countryside, and arrived in the city of Jericho, south of Idlib.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that an explosion was heard, as it hit Jericho area in the southern Idlib countryside during the conduct of the patrol, and that the area witnessed a gathering of protesters rejecting the Russian-Turkish agreement to conduct patrols in the area there.

This is the tenth round of its kind that runs the "M4" highway.

It is noteworthy that the mercenaries of Heyat Tahrir al-Sham, backed by Turkey, had earlier threatened to target the joint patrols and to behead the Turkish occupation soldiers.
