Aldar Khalil: Ain Issa attacks and Qamishlo tension interrelated

Aldar Khalil, member of the Co-presidency Body of the Democratic Union Party, the PYD, indicated that an agreement has been reached upon by the Syrian Government and the Turkish State in reference to North Eastern Syria, noting that attacks on Ain Issa coincide with provocations by the Syrian Government Forces in Qamishlo.

Statements made by Aldar Khali, member of the Co-presidency Body of the Democratic Union Party, the PYD, came in an interview with Kurdish section in Ozgor Politica Newspaper.

At the beginning of his speech, Aldar Khlail touched on the meetings held in reference to the Kurdish national unity in Rojava, and that meetings with the Kurdish Unity Parties and the Kurdish National Council are pending now, due to absence of a U.S. representative in the region, saying :'' big steps have been taken in this relation, as the political arena was agreed upon, that is forming a joint Kurdish political reference, but the Kurdish National Council seeks to change the Social Contract of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, to which we did not give okay, for this contract was formed on the bases of the will of the components of the region, it is not acceptable for some parties to remove it, but that was conditioned, that poses a question, whether they want building or destruction? In addition to abolishing of the defence system, mother language and putting an end to the co-chairmanship system.

They want to join the administration, we gave okay, then it was followed by the issue of elections, but they want half of the posts without holding elections, on which talks stopped''.

Khalil noted that in the coming phase some topics would be dealt with such as that of the (Roj Peshmerga), "they are not Peshmergha, rather mercenaries affiliated to the Turkish State, as they were used in Shengal and Qandil just as Erdogan used mercenary groups in Libya and Azerbaijan, for this is improbable to accept them to have a role on the military arena".

Khalil touched on the latest attacks on Ain Issa and Tal Tamr carried out by the Turkish Occupation Forces and the affiliated mercenary groups, saying:'' the Turkish State endeavours to build the Greatest Turkish State, if allowed, it would occupy all areas in Rojava but their strength does not tilt the international balance, as there is an economic crisis in Turkey, in addition to problems with all countries, all these factors preclude Turkey to advance more''.

Aldar Khalil indicated that now Turkey is the fountain of all troubles in the world, saying:'' the Turkish State cannot launch widespread attacks as it used to do in the past, but it always awaits a crisis or any chance to precipitate into, for instance, in the middle of December, as the whole world was awaiting the New Year, and the U.S. undergoes the Presidential Transition, Turkey tried to make an advantage of this, for days, it tried to occupy the region but it was encountered by brave resistance from the part of the Syrian Democratic Forces, that resisted heroically in addition to repellence to attacks by people in the region that foiled the schemes.

Khalil indicated that the latest tension in the city of Qamishlo '' indubitably, the attacks on Ain Issa and the tension in the city of Qamishlo are interrelated, as not only the Turkish State is being involved in this, the matter engages Turkey, Russia, Syrian Regime, Iran and the U.S., for the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS is made up of 73 countries present here, as some of these countries play influential roles in Syria. Information available purport that Turkish intelligence chief, Hakan Fidan, made a visit to Syria after visiting Russia.

'' At a time when the Turkish State carries out attacks on Ain Issa and Tal Tamr,  the Damascus Regime ignites problems in the city of Qamishlo, with the aim to harass the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, as available information indicate an agreement is being reached, but their plots on Ain Issa, Tal Tamr and Qamishlo failed to the ground, as this do not mean that the crisis is over''.

In reference to the Turkish Occupation of areas in North and East Syria, Aldar Khalil mentioned that genocidal policies are being perpetrated by the Turkish Occupation in the areas occupied, saying:'' the Turkish State spares no efforts to displace people in the areas it occupies, as people there are being open to arrest and torture.

''In addition to occupation, Turkey tries to introduce a population change, and deform all historical and cultural milestones, and establishing it's own system there. People in such areas are under suppression, it is unacceptable to stay hands folded, strife for the liberation of these areas ought to be intensified to liberate these areas from the Turkish Occupation.

We are ready to liberate all our areas, at any cost, we are all hopes that in  2021 Afrin, Sere Kaniye and Gire Spi all be liberated.
