On the margin of the meeting held by the General Coordination of Lawyers' Associations in Kobani city, Al-Raqqa's lawyers spoke to our agency, Hawar news (ANHA) and said: "States should not return foreign mercenaries to their countries and try them. An international court must be established in Kobani city to hold these mercenaries accountable in Kobani, where caused thousands of the people of Kobani and their children were martyred by Daesh.
Lawyer and co-chair of the Association of al-Raqqa's lawyers Khalid Al Hassan said that the violations committed by Daesh mercenaries are not small crimes and continued by saying: "Their punishment must be as much as the crimes they committed, the first place, where Daesh was defeated in Kobani and therefore must be held accountable in a court in Kobani."
"The foreign IS' mercenaries who came to Syria from different countries should not be prosecuted in their countries because their people have not been harmed by them." Those who resisted and fought in the face of IS' mercenaries are the Syrian people with all its components. Therefore, these mercenaries must be tried according to international laws and the wishes of the families of the martyrs in Kobani ".
Lawyer and co-chair of the Association of al-Raqqa's lawyers Dhaia Fdeih referred to the suffering experienced by the Syrian people due to IS' atrocities "Therefore mercenaries must be tried according to international laws," she said.
And concluded her speech saying "A court must be set up to try Daesh mercenaries as soon as possible and they must be held accountable on Syrian soil, where their crimes and violations had happened on the Syrian lands," she said.
