Al-Bukamal clans: Turkey, Syrian regime agents seek to spread sow discord

The notables and sheikhs of al-Bukamal area in the countryside of Deir-ez-Zor rejected the interference of the clans in the areas controlled by the Syrian government and on Turkish territory, stressing that they would confront all parties trying to ignite discord in the region, and demanding that they not harm the security of the region and destabilize it.

After the events in the eastern countryside of the city of Deir-ez-Zor by the cells affiliated with the Syrian government in an attempt to ignite discord between the tribesmen of the region and the Syrian Democratic Forces in the past few days, this morning, the tribal council of al-Bukamal region met in the countryside of the Syrian city of Deir-ez-Zor, in an effort to determine their position on what the region has witnessed in terms of security, and what is being propagated by external parties through the media.

To confirm, through their tripartite meeting, their adherence to and standing side by side to extend security and stability in the region, and not to allow external parties to control their regions, and to undermine their security and stability through a statement.

The statement was delivered in the village of Albu Hassan in the town of Hajin, east of Deir-ez-Zor, by the sheikh of al-Shaitat tribe and the head of the region’s tribal council, which is affiliated with al-Akkidat tribe, Nasser Taram al Khalaf.

At its beginning, the statement appealed to "we, notables and sheikhs of Deir –ez-Zor tribes, appealing to the people of our country, clans' notables who are outside AA's areas, and those in the areas controlled by the Syrian government forces, Turkey and the areas under the control of Turkey's mercenaries not to approach the region, tamper with its security and bargain with the blood of its people."

The statement also noted, "Deir-ez-Zor tribes call for peace between all parties, as they stand with the political solution and the Syrian-Syrian solution with all parties, in order to reach a unified, democratic and decentralized Syria."

Through the statement, Sheikhs and clans' notables expressed their total rejection of the interference of the clans and clans' notables who are existed outside the region.

The statement concluded by saying, "Those who tamper with the security of the region and ignite discord among its people are existed abroad, in the regions of the Syrian regime or Turkey, so we affirm our stand in the face of all parties that try to undermine the security of the region, and we reject all external interference.
