​​​​​​​Afrin displaced commemorate martyr Beritan

Under the slogan "Through the Free Woman's, We will Defeat the occupation," hundreds of Afrin displaced Al-Hasakah recalled the fighter, Beritan, on the 28th anniversary of her martyrdom, through a lecture organized by the Kongra Star.

The lecture was attended by dozens of Afrin IDPs living in the Al-Ghoyran neighborhood in addition to the members of the Kongra Star in the city.

The lecture began with a minute of silence, then Jalila Mulla Ali, an administrator in KSC recalled the militant Beritan on 28th anniversary of her martyrdom.

She touched on her life that was affected by with the thought and philosophy of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, and that she fought for her people freedom and women freedom in particula.

She added: "The fighter, Beritan wanted to join the ranks of the Kurdistan Freedom Movement to prove to the whole world that Kurdish women charisma. She became a model for women. In this regard, leader Ocalan described her martyrdom as the path of struggle and resistance.

She noted: “The Turkish occupation, along with its mercenaries target mainly women and suppress her freedom. Despite this, she played a major role in the struggle and revolution for realizing the project of the democratic nation far from displacement, blood and war."

The KSC member concluded her lecture by saying: “We promise the militant Beritan to continue in her footsteps and all the fighters of freedom. They quoted the thought and philosophy of the leader Abdullah Ocalan to reach the freedom of every woman.”

Then the lecture ended with chanting slogans calling for the freedom of women, saluting the resistance of the fighter Beritan, and calling for the freedom of the leader Abdullah Ocalan.
