97 Palestinians wounded by Israeli army fire in Gaza

On Friday, 97 Palestinians were injured by the Israeli army during the 67th week of the return marches and the siege on the Gaza border.

Our correspondent in Gaza quoted the Ministry of Health as saying: " 97 Palestinians have been shot by the Israeli army during their participation in marches on the Gaza border,"

The leader of the Palestinian Democratic Front, Talal Abu Zarifa, said that "the means of the march, such as the rough ones and other tools, we expand and restrict their use according to the tactics and the extent of Israel's commitment to the understandings of calm."

Hamas spokesman Abdel Latif al-Qanaoua said that the marches continue in Gaza untill breaking the Israeli siege imposed on the Gaza Strip for more than 12 years.

Since March 2018, Palestinians have been taking part in the "return marches" near the separation fence between eastern Gaza and Israel, demanding the return of Palestinian refugees to their towns and villages which they were displaced from in 1948 and lifting the Israeli siege imposed on Gaza 12 years ago.
