ISIS mercenaries escalated their attacks during the holy month of Ramadan, within the areas of the government forces’ influence, the Syrian Badia, and the Autonomous Administration’s (AA) areas in northern and eastern Syria, but they received significant human losses in the result of the security campaigns, targets and clashes in these areas.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, 37 ISIS mercenaries, including 4 commanders have been killed since the beginning of the month of Ramadan as a result of clashes with the government forces in the Syrian Badia, security campaigns and targets for the international coalition and the Syrian Democratic Forces in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, in addition to clashes with them in al-Tabqa city in al-Raqqa countryside, as well as the air targeting of the former commander of ISIS mercenaries south of Afrin city, northwest of Aleppo, which is occupied by Turkey and its mercenaries.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the implementation of ISIS mercenaries for 43 operations since the beginning of the month of Ramadan, which varied between detonation, attack, targeting and ambush, and there were no reinforcements and fortifications of the government and Iranian forces in the Syrian Badia to prevent them from carrying out their operations.
In the areas of the government forces’ influence, during the month of Ramadan, the Syrian Observatory monitored 11 ISIS mercenaries’ operations that varied between attacks, detonation, and extermination. These operations which were concentrated in Homs and Deir ez-Zor Badias resulted in killing 37 government forces, as well as a woman executed in a field execution of the mercenaries.
According to the Syrian Observatory, during the month of Ramadan, ISIS mercenaries carried out 32 attacks against SDF’s areas, varying between bombings and attacks, most of them were concentrated in the cities and towns of the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.
