30 mercenaries arrested during a raid on 21 dens

The anti-terror units of the Syrian Democratic Forces, in cooperation with the International Coalition, arrested 30 mercenaries during the raid on 21 dens of Daesh in Deir ez-Zor countryside.

The Media Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces published details about these specific operations.

"The anti-terror units of the Syrian Democratic Forces in the region of Deir ez-Zor and in coordination with the International Coalition to Fight "Daesh" were able to arrest 30 members of the sleeper cells associated with the terrorist organization, during simultaneous raids targeting several villages in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor at midnight on Monday.

The anti-terror units had identified 21 separate targets in the villages of Ziban, Shuhail, al-Zer and West al-Basira, after receiving intelligence information from their field sources about movements of sleeper cells affiliated with "Daesh" in the villages.

Accordingly, following coordination with the International Coalition, the units carried out a simultaneous raid campaign targeting the aforementioned targets, which started at 1:00 pm on Monday and continued until 4:00 am, where it was able to arrest 30 terrorists from Daesh and suspects.

The units also seized a quantity of weapons and ammunition during the raids targeting targets used by terrorists as secret agents to plan their terrorist activities. "

The information center reported the quantities of weapons and ammunition seized as follows: "one sniper weapon – 3 Kalashnikovs – 3 Pistols – one luger pistol – 5 pistol storages- one Brno weapon, sniper weapon storage, one sniper telescope – 15 Kalashnikovs storage – 3 mobile phones – one Doktryov weapon chain – 3 Kalashnikov storages – 2 pistols storage – 2 routers and one handcuff".
