1st conference of Women's Administration in al-Raqqa launched

The first Women's Administration conference in al-Raqqa city has been launched a while ago under the slogan "Women's freedom is the foundation of democracy and the spirit of change.”

The conference is held at Taj Hall in the center of the city of al-Raqqa, dozens of women from the city of al-Raqqa and its villages dressed in folkloric outfits, members of al-Raqqa Civil Council, representatives of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, the head of the Women's Council of North and East Syria, Jihan Khadro, Secretary General of the Future Syria Party, Havrin Khalaf, fighters from the Women's Protection Units, as well as delegations from Manbij, Deir ez-Zor, al-Tabqa, al-Jazeera and Kobani regions are attending the conference.

The conference has begun with a minute of silence followed by the opening speech by the administration of the Women's administration in al-Raqqa, Maryam Al-Abbo, who blessed the conference. She stated, "We stand before the martyrs, those who sacrificed their lives for our freedom, we congratulate all women in al-Raqqa on the first conference, as this important historic event will advance women towards the freedom and equality that women have long dreamed of, where they have been marginalized to the maximum. "

The conference will continue with speeches delivered by participants.

The annual report of the Women's Administration in al-Raqqa and its villages will be read and the draft rules of procedure will be read and discussed. Seven administrators will be elected for Women's Administration in al-Raqqa.
