Today, the official website of the Department of Foreign Relations in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria published information about the visit of an official French delegation, assigned by French President Emmanuel Macron, to the regions and institutions of the Autonomous Administration.

According to the website, the visiting delegation included the former French Minister of National Education, Michel Blanquet, and the French writer and researcher Patrice Franceschi, accompanied by the representative of the Autonomous Administration in France, Khaled Issa.

The delegation was received at the center of the Foreign Relations Department of the AANES, by the co-chair of the Foreign Relations Department, Samar Al-Abdullah, and the two deputy co-chairs, Fanar Al-Kaait and Rubel Bahho.

The website stated that the reason for the visit was to provide a message of support from French President Emmanuel Macron to the people and administration of NE Syria.

During the meeting, representatives of the Autonomous Administration briefed the visiting delegation on the ongoing Turkish attacks on the areas of the Autonomous Administration, their repercussions, the Turkish crimes committed in NE Syria, the international silence regarding them, the impact of these attacks on the fight against ISIS, and their impact on the work of organizations in the region and the refugees and displaced people there.

Former French Minister of National Education, Michel Blanquet, said during his visit: "His visit to the regions of NE Syria is to learn about the institutions of the Autonomous Administration, convey the support of the French President to the peoples and administration of NE Syria, and to confirm that cooperation between France and NE Syria exists and continues."

Blanquet explained: "I admire the experience of AANES and how to coexist with each other, but the attack on you from some neighboring countries is completely unacceptable."

Blanquet noted: "I am here today to tour the regions of NE Syria to see the damage you suffered after the recent attack, and I will return to France to discuss how to provide aid more effectively."

The French delegation, accompanied by representatives of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Surya, visited the shrine of the martyr Dalil Sarukhan in the city of Qamishlo.
