Families of Martyrs express concern over health of leader Ocalan
The families of the martyrs in al-Jazera Cantin expressed their concern about the health of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, following the recent earthquake that struck the Kamalek district near Imrali Prison.
Today, the Martyrs’ Councils in the districts and cities of al-Jazera Canton made a joint statement, in different regions, demanding to know the health condition of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, following the earthquake that struck the Turkish city of Bursa, near Imrali Prison, on February 23.
The articipants raised pictures of Leader Abdullah Ocalan and the flags of the Martyrs' Families Council.
The statement was read in the city of Qamishlo, in front of the shrine of the martyr Dalil Sarukhan, by the member of the Martyrs’ Families Council, Sabah Hassan. In the city of Derik the statement was read before the Martyrs’ Families Council, by Lilaf Muhammad.
In the Çil Agha district, the statement was read in front of the center of the Council of Martyrs’ Families in the district, by council member Hossam Hussein, while the statement of Tirbespiyê district was read by council member Avin Shikhmous. In Tel Hamis by Council member Hamza Al-Muhammad. In the Amuda district, it was read by the member of the Martyrs’ Families Council, Atiya Bijou.
At its beginning, the statement shed light on the ongoing unjust isolation imposed on Leader Abdullah Ocalan since March 2021, despite all the activities denouncing the isolation.
The statement called on the Turkish authorities to immediately make room for lawyers and the family of leader Abdullah Ocalan to meet him and check on his health.
The statement affirmed that the families of the martyrs will continue to struggle against the Turkish authorities’ policy towards Imrali, until the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan is achieved.
