Center for War Wounded pledges to continue its struggle
The Federal Center for War Wounded in North and East Syria condemned the targeting of the Federal Center in the city of Qamishlo today by the Turkish occupation, and pledged to escalate the struggle and protect the peoples of the region.
The Federal Center for War Wounded in North and East Syria issued a statement regarding the attack that targeted today the Federal Center for War Wounded in the city of Qamishlo, resulting in injuries.
The text of the statement read:
“The occupying and fascist Turkish state continues its brutal attacks on the regions of NE, Syria. The war-wounded fought against ISIS mercenaries and waged a great struggle, and public opinion bears witness to this, as well as international powers and the International Coalition. This afternoon, the fascist Turkish state carried out a brutal attack on the War Wounded Training Center.” It resulted in serious injuries. This attack, which targeted the war-wounded, targeted all of humanity. Because the war-wounded, who lost part of their bodies, defended human values. The international powers remain silent regarding these attacks on the region! What does this silence mean!? This silence means support and legitimizing those who carry out these attacks. Those who defend humanity are the war wounded in NE, Syria. The occupying Turkish state has not accepted in any way the defeat of ISIS, and that is why it is carrying out these attacks. The truth is that they are taking revenge for ISIS, they want to protect it and revive it. No matter how hard the state tries the Turkish mission is to undermine the will and morale of the war-wounded and obstruct their struggle, as they were not able to do so. The war-wounded will escalate their struggle and will continue their work even if they lose their hands, legs and eyes.
We appeal to all free peoples to stand alongside the peoples of NE, Syria who saved humanity from ISIS extremism. Do not remain silent about the brutality of the Turkish terrorist state and partner of ISIS, and take a stand against it.
We condemn and denounce the attack that occurred against war-wounded Federalists. We will escalate our struggle against all forms of attacks and protect our people from these attacks.”
