About Abdullah Ocalan's Campaign for Physical Freedom: Least Duty to Our Leader
Women from Raqqa saw that launching a global campaign to achieve the physical freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan is the least duty undertaken by the peoples who believe in the thought and philosophy of Leader Abdullah Ocalan who seeks to rid them of slavery and injustice.
On October 10 of this year, a global campaign (Freedom for Abdullah Ocalan, the political solution to the Kurdish issue) was launched in 74 centers around the world, and since its launch, it has witnessed widespread participation by all segments of society, especially women.
Member of the General Council of the Democratic Union Party (PYD), Newroz Muslim, said about the campaign, “The thought of the leader and philosopher Abdullah Ocalan is an international thought that does not concern a specific people or society. He talks about humanity and solutions to the global crisis that societies are suffering from, and that is why launching "The campaign for his physical freedom deserves to be global as well."
Newroz Muslim added during her talk to ANHA agency, "What is required of all societies and all components that believe in the thought of leader Abdullah Ocalan is to intensify their activities and activities in order to achieve their demand to break the isolation from the leader and achieve his physical freedom."
The Turkish state imposes absolute isolation on Leader Abdullah Ocalan, who has been detained since 1999, and prevents his family and lawyers from meeting with him despite repeated requests to meet him, as no information has been received about the leader since March 2021.
Newroz Muslim indicated that the Turkish state is tightening the isolation imposed on Leader Abdullah Ocalan, to prevent the link between him and the people who believe in his thought and follow his path, but she reaffirmed that the thought of Leader Abdullah Ocalan is a well-established and widespread thought and will spread even more than that.
For her part, the administrator at the Municipalities Academy in Raqqa, Awatif Al-Issa, confirmed that the campaign is less a duty towards the leader Abdullah Ocalan, who proposed the idea of a democratic nation.
Awatif Al-Issa added: “This thought is the solution to all the issues of oppressed peoples, and we will continue this campaign and will not be complacent in defending the leader Abdullah Ocalan until his isolation is lifted and his physical freedom is achieved.”
She added: "In my name and in the name of all components of northern and eastern Syria, we demand an end to the isolation of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, as there is no international or humanitarian law or within any humanitarian system or under any legal provision that justifies this physical isolation imposed on Leader Abdullah Ocalan."
