SDC organizes a seminar under: Uprising of March 12 role in Syrian revolution
The Syrian Democratic Council organized a dialogue seminar entitled "The March 12 Uprising and its Role in the Syrian Revolution" in the presence of Saleh Muslim, a member of the Presidency of the Democratic Union Party.
The seminar was attended by a number of Raqqa residents and members of political parties in Raqqa, in addition to a number of intellectuals, sheikhs and dignitaries of clans in Raqqa, and a member of the Presidency of the DYP Saleh Muslim.
The seminar began with a minute of silence, followed by a speech on behalf of the Democratic Union Party, delivered by a member of the party’s governing body in northern and eastern Syria, Saleh Muslim, who spoke at the beginning of his speech about power since the beginning of the Baath party’s rule over Syria and authoritarianism in all fields. He explained what the March 12 uprising and the policy that was followed behind her.
Muslim referred to "those authorities that have been curbing all revolutionary movements and gatherings in Syria in general since the beginning of the sixties of the last century."
In his speech, he explained the role of the March 12 uprising in supporting the Syrian revolution that erupted in the spring of 2011, which served as a spark to support the peoples of Syria in general, and was a base for it and for all Syrians who longed freedom and democracy.
A member of the Presidency of the Democratic Union Party stated, "The uprising of Qamishlo was the basis of this uprising and was a sedition against the components plotted by the intelligence of the Syrian regime, basically to weaken the Kurdish people, after Iraq lost the war with America.
He said, "We were then able to organize the Kurdish people and form a national bloc that preserves the rights of the Kurdish people, but there were those who fought the people until the outbreak of the Arab Spring revolutions, and we were waiting for this day in Syria until it happened. We were able to organize ourselves again.
Saleh Muslim stated, "Since the beginning of the revolution in Syria and northeastern Syria in particular, we have been able to reach this day away from sectarianism and authoritarianism that most regions of Syria still live in. We must continue to fight the authority and make the brotherhood of peoples a basic principle for us in order to reach a free and dignified life that includes all sects and religions of societies in Syria and the Middle East.
After the speech of a member of the Presidency of the Democratic Union Party in North and East Syria, Saleh Muslim, he opened the door for discussion and questions were asked by the audience and answered by members of the Court.
