Saudi Arabia will deposit 250 million dollars in the Central Bank of Sudan

Saudi Arabia's Finance Ministry on Sunday deposited SR 937.5 million ($ 250 million) in the Central Bank of Sudan account.

"This deposit is an extension of Saudi support for Sudan," Saudi Finance Minister Mohammed bin Abdullah al-Jad'an said. "This support will support the financial and economic situation in Sudan, especially the Sudanese pound exchange rate," SPA said.

The Abu Dhabi Fund for Development signed an agreement with the Central Bank of Sudan at the end of last month to raise $ 250 million to support the bank's fiscal policy and achieve financial and monetary stability in Sudan.

The deposit comes as part of a $ 3 billion US-Saudi joint aid package to Sudan to support the economy and meet the basic needs of the Sudanese people.
