The Syrian Democratic Council held a national conference for the residents of Al-Jazeera and the Euphrates on November 25, with the participation of all components in northern and eastern Syria, representatives of political forces and parties, independent figures, sheikhs and tribal notables, representatives of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria and the Syrian Democratic Forces.
The conference was also marked by the vast participation of women. Magda Ahmed, an independent politician who participated in the conference, explained that holding such conferences will contribute to building a democratic, pluralistic and decentralized Syria.

Regarding the decisions that emerged from the National Conference of the for the residents of Al-Jazeera and the Euphrates, Magda Ahmed said: "All of them are in the interest of the Syrian people and all components of Syria," adding, "We hope for radical and qualitative changes to take place to build a new Syria."
Magda Ahmed drew attention to the pioneering role that women played during the Syrian revolution, and said: "Women had a great role during the revolution, and by their resistance and leadership, they were able to form an integrated women's military organization and destroy the most powerful terrorist organization, which is ISIS."
Magda Ahmed stressed the need: "To make the change in the current Syrian constitution, and to add new laws that protect women and protect their rights in all aspects, such as the right to inherit, self-determination and participation in administration."
In her turn, political activist Suhair al-Mizal praised the vast participation of women in the National Conference of the residents of Al-Jazeera and the Euphrates and the opportunity for them to present their ideas about the future of Syria.
She expressed her hope that "the conference will be an essential step for building a new Syria, in which the rights of all components are safeguarded."
