Netanyahu: There is attempt to hold new tripartite meeting in Jerusalem to discuss Iranian presence

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Tuesday there were efforts to hold a trilateral meeting with Russia and the United States in the current period on the Iranian presence in Syria.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said during the weekly cabinet meeting: "We are making efforts today to hold another tripartite meeting with the participation of Russia, the United States and Israel here in Jerusalem, in order to continue discussions on getting Iran out of Syria.

The statement stressed that Israel will continue to take all diplomatic, security and intelligence measures to achieve the goals set.

On June 24 and 25, Israel hosted talks between Russian national security advisors, Nikolai Patrushev, American John Bolton and Meir Ben Shabat, on the situation in Syria and the Iranian presence there.
