The United Nations envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffith arrived in the capital Sanaa on Sunday, suddenly to meet with officials of the Houthis, following the failure of the implementation of the redeployment agreement in Hodeidah.

UN envoy Martin Griffith arrived in the capital Sanaa on a surprise visit that was not announced.

On a second visit in a week, UN envoy to Yemen Griffith arrived in the capital Sanaa for talks with the Huthis group.

The military committee to coordinate the redeployment in Hodeidah, west of Yemen, resumed its meetings Saturday at the Taj Ossan Hotel in the city center, headed by General Michael Lollesgaard, chief international observer.

The visit comes amid the failure to implement the Sweden agreement concluded under the auspices of the United Nations last December, which included the need for the withdrawal of the Huthis from the three ports Hodeidah and Salaf and Ras Issa, but they refused to implement the agreement.
