American forces: 5 Taliban fighters killed in Afghanistan

The American forces announced killing 5 of "Taliban Movement” in Afghanistan in a raid launched in the middle of the country in support of government forces.

On Monday, the spokesman for the American forces in Afghanistan, Colonel Sonny Leggett, said, "The American forces launched a strike in the Nakh area in Wardak province in the center of the country yesterday evening, in defense of the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces, and in line with the US agreement with the Taliban," he added, "The raid left 5 Taliban fighters dead."

The US raid comes amid continued confrontations between government forces and the movement, despite the ongoing talks on ending the violence.
